This page explains cancellations and refunds for Fastingkit Pro and other paid features. Choose your store below. Payment and refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by Fastingkit directly.

Official Apple guides used for this section: Request a refund (HT118223), Check refund status (HT118224), and Subscriptions and Billing.
Developers cannot issue App Store refunds
Under Apple’s rules, Fastingkit (the developer) cannot refund, reverse, or cancel an App Store / In-App Purchase charge. All billing and refund decisions for iOS purchases are handled only by Apple. Emailing us cannot process an Apple refund—you must use Apple’s refund tools below (reportaproblem.apple.com).
Who bills you
- Fastingkit Pro and in-app purchases on iPhone / iPad are charged by Apple to your Apple Account.
- Some purchases for digital goods may be eligible for a refund under Apple’s policies and your local consumer law. Apple decides eligibility.
Cancel your subscription
Cancelling stops future renewals. It does not automatically refund the current paid period. You usually keep access until that period ends.
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name → Subscriptions.
- Select Fastingkit.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal if you do not want the next charge. More: Apple billing – Cancel your subscription.
How to request a refund (Apple HT118223)
Follow Apple’s steps from support.apple.com/en-gb/118223:
- Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com with the same Apple Account used for the purchase. If you have multiple Apple Accounts, try each one.
- Tap or click I’d like to, then choose Request a refund.
- Choose the reason for your request, then choose Next.
- Choose the app, subscription, or item (Fastingkit / Pro), then choose Submit.
- If you were charged for a subscription you no longer want, you can also cancel the subscription from that flow.
Pending charges
If the charge is still pending, you usually cannot request a refund yet. After you receive Apple’s email receipt, try again on reportaproblem.apple.com (per Apple HT118223).
Wait 24–48 hours, then check status (Apple HT118224)
- After submitting, allow 24 to 48 hours for an update from Apple.
- Sign in to reportaproblem.apple.com, then choose Check Status of Claims. If you do not see that option, you may have no pending requests.
- Calling or chatting Apple Support usually will not speed up a request already submitted—monitor status on the site (Apple HT118224).
- Official status guide: support.apple.com/en-gb/118224.
When will the money appear?
If Apple approves the refund (timelines from Apple HT118224):
- Apple Account / store credit: up to about 48 hours
- Credit / debit cards, Apple Pay, and most methods: up to about 30 days on your statement
- Mobile phone billing: up to about 60 days (carrier-dependent)
You may lose access to refunded content. If funds do not appear after the stated window, contact your bank or payment provider.
Purchase history & payment methods
- View history and manage payments via Apple Subscriptions and Billing.
- Bank statements may show Apple / App Store rather than “Fastingkit”.
- Unrecognised charge? Check purchase history, Family Sharing, then request a refund if appropriate.
Restore on another Apple device
- Sign in with the same Apple Account.
- Install Fastingkit.
- Use Restore Purchases in the app.
Europe & consumer rights
- PSD2 / Strong Customer Authentication may ask your bank to approve purchases — see Apple billing.
- Refund eligibility can vary by country. Local consumer protections still apply. See Apple Media Services Terms and your local law.
- Apple notes that in some EU cases digital purchases may not be billed through Apple’s IAP system — follow the receipt / store that charged you (HT118223).
Answers to common refund questions (Apple / StoreKit)
Based on Apple’s developer documentation on Handling refund notifications and related StoreKit refund APIs:
Q: I paid for Fastingkit Pro — why can’t you just refund me?
A: On iOS, payment goes to Apple, not to us as a card charge we can reverse. Apple states that developers cannot directly issue App Store / In-App Purchase refunds. Only Apple can approve or deny a refund request.
Q: How do customers request a refund from Apple?
A: Apple documents that customers request refunds in ways such as:
- Contacting Apple Customer Support and asking for a refund
- Using Apple’s self-service tool reportaproblem.apple.com
- Asking their payment method issuer (bank / card) for a refund
Q: Can the app “give me a refund button” that pays me back?
A: At most, an app can open Apple’s system refund request sheet (StoreKit beginRefundRequest), where you submit a request to Apple. That still does not let the developer approve money back. Apple reviews and decides.
Q: How long does Apple take to decide?
A: For in-app refund requests through StoreKit, Apple indicates it can take up to about 48 hours to approve or deny. Also allow time after approval for funds to return to your payment method (see Apple HT118224).
Q: What happens if Apple approves my refund?
A: Apple processes the refund to your original payment method. Apple can notify the developer’s systems (App Store Server Notifications, e.g. a REFUND notification) so Pro access may be revoked after a refund. You may lose paid features once the refund is completed.
Q: What if Apple declines my refund?
A: Then no money is returned through that request. For questions about Apple’s decision, contact Apple Support — the developer cannot override Apple’s refund decision.
Q: I emailed help@fastingkit.app — can you refund from there?
A: No. We can help with app access / restore after a valid purchase, and point you to Apple’s refund tools. We cannot move money from Apple’s billing system back to your card.
Q: Is cancelling my subscription the same as a refund?
A: No. Cancel stops future renewals. A refund is a separate request to get money back for a charge already made, decided by Apple.
