Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Fastingkit (“Fastingkit”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our marketing website at https://Fastingkit.app and the Fastingkit mobile applications (including the iOS app, Apple Watch companion, widgets, Live Activities, and the Android app where available).

1. Summary

  • You do not need a Fastingkit account to use the app.
  • Fasting sessions, water logs, schedules, notes, and preferences are stored on your device by default.
  • Optional iCloud Sync (Pro) may store that data in your private Apple iCloud / CloudKit database.
  • We do not use Apple HealthKit.
  • Purchases use Apple App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat. Crash reporting and ads use Firebase and Google Mobile Ads where enabled.

2. Information we process

2.1 On your device (local)

Depending on how you use the app, we may store locally:

  • Fasting plans, active and completed fasting sessions (times, stages, pause state)
  • Mood, notes, and categories you attach to sessions
  • Scheduled / recurring fasts and reminder settings
  • Water intake logs and goals
  • App preferences (theme, accents, daylight mode, formats, faith / Ramadan settings, guest display name, biometric lock setting, and similar)
  • Optional weather-related cache (for example temperature, sunrise / sunset / moon data, and coordinates used for that purpose)
  • Data shared with system companions via App Group (widgets, Live Activities, Watch sync) so those features can show your current status

2.2 Optional location

If you allow location access, the iOS app may use approximate location (when in use) with Apple WeatherKit to calculate sunrise, sunset, and moon information—for example for daylight theme or Ramadan-related timing. You may also enter a place manually. Location is not required for core fasting timers. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

2.3 iCloud Sync (optional, Pro)

If you enable iCloud Sync, eligible app data may sync to your private Apple CloudKit container associated with your Apple ID. Apple provides that infrastructure under Apple’s Media Services Terms and Privacy Policy. Sync can be turned off in the app when the feature is available to you.

2.4 Purchases and subscriptions

Paid features (“Fastingkit Pro” and related products) are processed by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat to validate entitlements, restore purchases, and manage subscriptions. We do not receive your full payment card details. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier and purchase status. Further information: revenuecat.com/privacy.

2.5 Analytics, crash reporting, and ads

  • Firebase Crashlytics may collect crash and diagnostic data to improve stability. You may be able to disable crash reporting in app settings where offered. See Firebase Privacy and Security.
  • Firebase Analytics / Remote Config may be used for configuration (for example API keys / ad unit IDs) and limited analytics related to stability and product configuration. See Google Privacy Policy.
  • Google Mobile Ads may be used for optional rewarded ads that unlock certain features temporarily. Google may process device and advertising-related data under Google’s advertising technologies and Privacy Policy.

2.6 Support and feature requests

If you email us or open our feature board on Featurebase (fastingkit.featurebase.app), you provide whatever information you choose to send (for example email address and message content). That service is operated by Featurebase; see their Privacy Policy.

2.7 Marketing website

The website at https://Fastingkit.app is informational. It does not require an account. Standard web server or hosting logs (for example IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be processed by our hosting provider as part of operating the site.

3. What we do not do

  • We do not require you to create a Fastingkit login.
  • We do not integrate Apple HealthKit.
  • We do not sell your fasting history as a standalone product. Third-party SDKs (ads, analytics, purchases) operate under their own policies as described above.

4. Notifications

With your permission, the app may send local notifications (for example fast complete, stages, schedules, water, or faith / Ramadan reminders). These are scheduled on your device and are not sent through our push servers.

5. Biometric lock

If you enable Face ID / Touch ID / device passcode lock, authentication stays on your device via the system. Biometric data is not sent to us.

6. Import and export

You may import or export fasting data (for example CSV / backup formats, or supported third-party formats such as EasyFast or Zero where offered). Files you export are under your control when you share or save them.

7. Children

Fastingkit is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Do not use the app if you are under the applicable age without a parent or guardian.

8. International processing

Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Firebase, and other processors may process data in the United States or other countries. By using the app you understand that such transfers may occur subject to those providers’ safeguards and applicable law.

9. Your choices

See User Privacy Choices for a dedicated overview. In short:

  • Revoke location, notification, or tracking-related permissions in system settings
  • Disable iCloud Sync when available
  • Disable crash reporting when the setting is offered
  • Delete the app to remove local data (iCloud copies you enabled remain under your Apple ID until you delete them there)
  • Manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store / Google Play settings
  • Contact us to ask questions about this policy

10. Response times

We aim to respond to all privacy requests within:

  • General inquiries: 5 business days
  • Rights exercises: 30 days (as required by GDPR)
  • Data breach notifications: Immediately

11. Language

This Policy is provided in English. In case of translations into other languages, the English version shall prevail in case of any discrepancies.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
